|primary |name= }} צָרְעָה (מבטאים: צוֹרְעָה) הוא קיבוץ בלב שפלת יהודה, הוא ממוקם מעל אפיק נחל שורק ליד העיר בית שמש. הקיבוץ הוא חלק ממחוז ירושלים ומהמועצה האזורית מטה יהודה.

היסטוריה ורקע

קבוצת המייסדים הראשונה היו לוחמי הפלמ"ח, שעלו על הקרקע ב-7 בדצמבר 1948, ה' בכסלו ה'תש"ט. נקודת ההתיישבות הראשונה נקבעה במרומי רכס צרעה, על חורבותיו של הכפר הפלסטיני סרעה, וכשנה וחצי לאחר העלייה על הקרקע החל המעבר אל נקודת הקבע על צלע הגבעה, מול עמק שורק. צרעה היה אחד מ"ישובי המשלט", יישובים שמטרתם הייתה להבטיח את שטחיה החדשים של מדינת ישראל בעודה צעירה. לאורך השנים נקלטו בקיבוץ גרעיניים תנועתיים שונים וביניהם נוער חלוצי מדרום אפריקה, בוגרי "התנועה המאוחדת", "הנוער העובד והלומד" ו"הבונים". בקיבוץ נקלטו בנוסף משפחות ובודדים ממדינות שונות.

בספטמבר 1961 החליטו חברי הקיבוץ לבטל את הלינה המשותפת, ובכך היו לקיבוץ הראשון בישראל שצעד בדרך זו.

בשנת 2015 יצא לאור הסרט התיעודי "סרעה" של הבמאי וחבר הקיבוץ מיכאל קמינר שבו הוא מספר כיצד התוודע לסיפור עליית הקיבוץ על חורבות הכפר הפלסטיני סרעה ומפגיש את ותיקי הקיבוץ עם פליטי הכפר.

שם הקיבוץ

השם צרעה מוזכר במקרא בספר יהושע ומונה אותה כיישוב בתחומי שבט יהודה ובגבול שבט דן: "בַּשְּׁפֵלָה: אֶשְׁתָּאוֹל וְצָרְעָה" (ט"ו, ל"ב). צרעה ידועה כאזור מולדתו של השופט המקראי שמשון. שמה השתמר בשם הכפר הערבי "סרעה" (صرعة) שחרב במלחמת העצמאות, כך קיבוץ צרעה הסמוך לו נושא את שם האתר המקראי.

חינוך

בתוך הקיבוץ פועלת מערכת חינוך המיועדת לגיל הרך והגנים בלבד. ילדים בגילאי בתי ספר יסודי ועד תיכון מופנים אל מוסדות חיצוניים של המועצה האזורית מטה יהודה או לומדים בבית הספר הר-טוב שפועל בקיבוץ ומלמד שכבות יסודי עד תיכון.

ענפים

הקיבוץ מתהדר בשטחים רחבים של גידולי שדה ומטעים. שטחי המטעים כוללים את גידולי כרמי הענבים המיוחדים אותם סיפק בעבר ליצרנים חיצוניים עד שבשנת 1993 הוחלט לפתוח את יקב צרעה כיקב בוטיק ולהפיק יין בתוך הקיבוץ. ענפי המשק בקיבוץ:

• הרפת, רפת יהודה - רפת מאוחדת של הקיבוצים: צרעה, צובה ונתיב הל"ה. היא אחת מהרפתות הגדולות ביותר בישראל.
• גידולי שדה - לצרעה שטחים רבים של גידולי שדה (חיטה, תירס, כותנה, חמניות, אספסת) ומטעים (שקדים, ענבים, רימונים, פקאנים).
• חממות לגידול תרנגולי הודו למאכל.
• עיזים שגדלו בפינת החי ונחלבו ביד, מהחלב ייצרו גבינות וחלב עיזים (בעבר).
• מפעל כלי רכב חשמליים בשם "צרעה מערכות אקטיביות".
• יקב צרעה.
• אזור תעשייה - (נשרף ב-25 ביוני 2007, נבנה מחדש מספר שנים לאחר מכן).
• רהיטי צרעה - מפעל ליצור רהיטים.
• הקיבוץ מחזיק בבעלות של א.ב מתכננים, אחת מחברות התכנון הגדולות בישראל.

בשנת 1958 יסד הקיבוץ את מפעל I.C.M ‏(israel cycling manufacturer) שפעל באזור התעשייה של בית שמש עד לסוף שנות ה-70. המפעל ייצר אופניים, ובפרט את הטוסטוס "טילון".
