|primary |name= }} נווה שלום (בערבית واحة السلام, תעתיק מדויק: ואחת אלסלאם) הוא כפר דו-לאומי, סמוך ללטרון, השייך למועצה אזורית מטה יהודה.

שמו של היישוב הכפרי סמלי ומסמל את שאיפת המקימים ליצור יישוב שיביא את השלום ובמטרה לקדם את הדו-קיום בישראל בין יהודים לערבים. כדברי ברונו הוסאר הנזיר שהקים את הכפר: "אמונה בניצחון האהבה על האיבה, זו המטרה האמיתית והעמוקה ביותר של כפר שלום".

נווה שלום הוא כפר שיתופי בו מתגוררות משפחות יהודיות וערביות, בעלי אזרחות ישראלית, החיים חיים שוויוניים. בכפר פועלת מערכת חינוך דו-לשונית ודו-לאומית.

היסטוריה

היישוב הוקם בשנת 1969 על ידי הנזיר הדומיניקני ברונו הוסאר (1911–1996), שנולד כיהודי במצרים, כמימוש חזונו לדו-קיום ערבי–יהודי. הוא נקבר בנווה שלום ועל מצבתו חקוקים מגן דוד וצלב.

בשנת 2006 ערך המוזיקאי האנגלי רוג'ר ווטרס, בסיסט להקת הרוק, פינק פלויד, הופעה בכפר נווה שלום. מקום ההופעה נבחר, לדברי ווטרס, "כמחווה של סולידריות עם הישראלים והפלסטינים המחפשים דרך לא אלימה לשלום צודק".

מבנים ביישוב

במקום כיפת התבודדות הקרויה בית דומיה סַכִּינָה, אשר קיבלה את שמה מספר תהילים ומהקוראן (בערבית המילה סכינה משמעה שכינה) זהו מבנה עגול וקטן הנועד להירגעות ולתפילה. את המבנה תכנן האדריכל חיים חפץ.

בנווה שלום הוקם "המרכז הרוחני פלורליסטי על שם ברונו הוסאר", שמטרתו יצירת בסיס משותף לדיאלוג בין העמים. את מבנה המרכז עיצב האדריכל חגי דביר והוא משלב בו יסודות יהודים, נוצרים, מוסלמים ובודהיסטים. הוא עיצב שני אולמות רחבי ידיים, עטורי כיפות גדולות וחלונות אובליים השואלים מוטיבים ממסגדים, כנסיות, בתי כנסת וגני זן. במקום נערכים הרצאות, דיונים וחוגי מדיטציה והוא פתוח גם למבקרים חיצוניים.

סטטוס טריטוריאלי

נווה שלום ממוקם ב"שטח הפקר", שהיה אזור מפורז שלא-בשליטתן של מדינת ישראל או ירדן טרם 1967. ישראל מעולם לא-סיפחה רשמית את שטח זה. בפסק דין משנת 2005, שעסק באישום פלילי נגד תושב היישוב שהסיע תושב מהרשות הפלסטינית ללא-היתר (שב"ח), קבע השופט כי לא-הוכח שההסעה בוצעה בתחומי מדינת ישראל הריבונית. עם זאת, היישוב מוכר מבחינה בינלאומית כחלק מישראל ולא כהתנחלות, וכך הוא גם מיוחס מבחינה חוקית להבדיל מהתנחלויות הכפופות לתקנות החירום של יהודה ושומרון.
