|primary |name= }} אֶבֶן סַפִּיר (בתעתיק לטיני: Even Sappir) הוא מושב בפרוזדור ירושלים, המשתייך לתנועת המושבים.

מקור השם

נקרא על שם ספרו של השד"ר רבי יעקב הלוי ספיר, מחבר "אבן ספיר" שנכתב בשנת 1864, המתאר את דרך חייהם ומנהגיהם של יהודי תימן במאה ה-19. על שמו של ספיר נקרא גם נחל ספיר.

היסטוריה

את המושב הקימו יהודים מתימן ב-1950. במשך השנים עזבו התימנים ובמקומם הגיעו עולים מכורדיסטן, בהמשך הצטרפו אליהם עולים ממרוקו ואחר כך קבוצה קטנה מהונגריה. לרבים מתושבי המושב היו לולים.

בקצהו הצפוני עומד מנזר יוחנן במדבר. בתוך המנזר מערת התבודדות המיוחסת ליוחנן המטביל, וכן מעיין. קרוב למושב נמצאים שני מעיינות נוספים: עין ספיר, בתחום המושב ועין חנדק בעמק שבין המושב להדסה עין כרם. בוואדי היורד מעין חנדק סכר בנוי אבני גזית. הדרך מסומנת בסימון שבילים ירוק בסימון של שביל ישראל.

תושבי המושב נהנים ממגוון שירותים קהילתיים כמו צרכנייה, סניף דואר, מגרש משחקים ומרכז תרבות. ניתן לרכוש במושב נכסים בצורה פרטית, בכפוף למעבר ועדת קבלה, וכמו כן יש הרחבה.

במושב נמצא "בית הגלגלים", בית חברתי לצעירים עם מוגבלות פיזית. בבית 7-5 קבוצות, בכל קבוצה 18-15 חניכים המלווים מגיל 8 ועד גיל 21. תקופת הפעילות הארוכה והרציפה מאפשרת לחניכים לעבור תהליך משותף וארוך טווח. הקבוצות נפגשות כל כמה שבועות לסופי שבוע של פעילויות חברתיות יחד עם מעטפת משפחתית.
