נַחְשׁוֹן הוא קיבוץ בעמק איילון, סמוך לקילומטר ה-37 של כביש 3, דרומית למודיעין, המשתייך למועצה אזורית מטה יהודה. הקיבוץ נמצא מערבית למחלף לטרון, מזרחית למושב בקוע וצפונית לקיבוץ הראל.
מקור השם עריכה
בתחילה נקרא המקום קבוץ ט"ז[5][6], זאת מאחר שהיה הגוף המגשים ה-16 של התנועה החינוכית של השומר הצעיר בארץ[7]. ואחר כך נקבע שמו על ידי מייסדיו כשם מבצע נחשון שהוביל לפריצת המצור על ירושלים במלחמת העצמאות.
היסטוריה עריכה
הקיבוץ הוקם בל"ג בעומר תש"י, ב-5 במאי 1950, על ידי אנשי גרעין גבולות של "השומר הצעיר" מתל אביב, קריית חיים, פתח תקווה וראשון לציון, שעברו הכשרה בקיבוץ אילון ובקיבוץ בית אלפא, והתיישבו על הגבעה "משלט 200" - שהיה משלט-צבאי בזמן מלחמת השחרור.
בטקס ההקמה הרשמי של הקיבוץ הונפה סיסמתו של מאיר יערי "לא עייפי-דרך, כי אם מפלסי-נתיב", שהפכה להיות אחד מסמלי הקיבוץ[7][5].
ביוני 1950 נקבע בהצבעה בשיחת קיבוץ שמו של הקיבוץ - נחשון - על שם מבצע נחשון בו נפרצה הדרך לירושלים הנצורה[8].
השנים הראשונות התאפיינו בקשיים רבים. במהלך עשר השנים הראשונות עזבו את הקיבוץ חברות וחברים רבים, אך בהמשך נקלטו גרעיני חברים נוספים.[5][9]
עד למלחמת ששת הימים שכן הקיבוץ סמוך לגבול עם ירדן, ועל עיבוד חקלאי בשטח ההפקר התקיימו עימותים בין ישראל לירדן[10][11]. במלחמת ששת הימים התנהלה בשדות הקיבוץ לחימה בכוח קומנדו מצרי. כ-80 מחיילי הקומנדו המצרי שנהרגו נטמנו בקבר אחים לא מסומן בשדות הקיבוץ[12][5].
בשנת 2024 כלל הקיבוץ כ-600 תושבים.
כלכלה עריכה
הקיבוץ המופרט עוסק בגידול חומוס, חיטה וגפנים. ובקיבוץ גם לולי תרנגולות גדולים. בשטח הקיבוץ פועל פארק מיני ישראל המשלם דמי שכירות לקיבוץ[13]. בשנת 1983 הוקם בקיבוץ מפעל ארן (אריזות נחשון) לייצור אריזות למזון, שבו מועסקים עשרים מחברי הקיבוץ ותשעים שכירים, ולו מפעלים גם בספרד ובקרוליינה הדרומית[13]. מאז שנת 2013 פועל בקיבוץ יקב שורק, הכולל גם בית ספר לעשיית יין[14].
חיי תרבות עריכה
בשנים 1994–2009 פעלה בקיבוץ גלריה. האוצרת הייתה יעל קיני. הספר הפיכת החצר בקיבוץ נחשון מתאר את הפעילות בגלריההמיית אדים בחדר הדוודים, באתר ערב רב Erev Rav, 2026-03-17.
