|primary |name= }} מוצא עילית הוא יישוב קהילתי בעל אופי כפרי הממוקם מעל עמק מוצא על גבי מדרון ההר שבין מוצא תחתית למבשרת ציון.
הגישה ליישוב היא דרך הכביש המפותל המכונה: "שבע האחיות", או דרך כביש 1 הישן, לאזור התחתון של היישוב.
מבחינה מוניציפלית, היישוב שייך למועצה האזורית מטה יהודה.
היישוב הוא יישוב קהילתי ורבים מתושביו הם בעלי מקצועות חופשיים, המתפרנסים באזור.
היסטוריה עריכה
מוצא עילית הוקמה בשנת 1933 כמושב עובדים על אדמות האיכר שמואל ברוזה, על ידי בני המושבה הוותיקה מוצא (תחתית) וקבוצת פועלים מירושלים. אנשי המושב התפרנסו מגידול פרות לחליבה, וכן מעבודה בבית ההבראה הסמוך, ארזה, שהיה הגדול והחשוב מסוגו ומאירוח קייטנים.
בימי המרד הערבי הגדול (1936–1939) היה במקום בסיס יחידת הנודדת, כוח הגנה נייד בראשות יצחק שדה. בינואר 1948 פונה המושב מתושביו ובמקום השתכנה מפקדת חטיבת עציוני, כאשר בית ההבראה "ארזה" שימש כבית חולים שדה. תושבי המקום חזרו למוצא עילית עם תום מלחמת העצמאות.
בשנת 2013 החלה בנייה של 220 יחידות דיור במדרון שבין מוצא עילית למעון הרופא, שבו שכן בית ההבראה ארזה, ומספר בניינים היסטוריים בתהליך של שימור ומשמשים כשטחים ציבוריים[5].
אופי הישוב עריכה
מוצא עלית הינה ישוב חילוני הכולל מגוון גילאים ובעשורים האחרונים נוספו למוצא עלית משפחות צעירות, ותושביו מהווים קהילה פעילה, החוגגת יחד פסטיבלים, חגים ואירועים תרבותיים מגוונים. ביישוב ישנו ועד מקומי וועדות שונות של מתנדבים פעילים ממוצא עלית, כגון ועדת תרבות, ועדת סביבה, צוות מעגל, שוב פעם ועוד.
ביישוב שלושה גני ילדים חילוניים. ילדי היישוב לומדים בבית הספר היסודי הממלכתי עין הרים שליד סכר בית זית. בתיכון לומדים ילדי מוצא עלית במגוון תיכונים באזור (תיכון עין כרם) ובירושלים (ליד"ה, בויאר, התיכון למדעים ולאמנויות, האקדמיה למוסיקה ולמחול ועוד).
ביישוב פעילה תנועת נוער בשם התנועה החדשה, וחברים בה עשרות ילדים ובני נוער מכיתה ג' ועד י"ב, העורכים פעילויות מדי שבוע, וכן בחגים ובחופשים. מדריכי התנועה בשנת שירות גרים ביישוב.
בחלק העליון של מוצא עלית ישנו מעון למבוגרים, מחלקה סיעודית ומרכז החלמה והבראה בשם "נוה עמית – מעון הרופא".
בית ההבראה ארזה עריכה

בשנת 1923 הוקם ליד מוצא בית ההבראה "ארזה" או בשמו המלא, "ארזה – בית הבראה לחלוצים". מדובר היה בגלגולו של רעיון שהעלה עוד בנימין זאב הרצל. בית ההבראה הוקם על ידי ההסתדרות הכללית. הוא פתח את שעריו לציבור הרחב ב-1924 ובו כשישים מיטות. דוד רמז הציע לקרוא למקום "ארזו" על שם ארזו של הרצל, אך בהמשך הלכה ותפסה המקבילה הנקבית, שהתקבלה לבסוף – "ארזה".
בתחילה שימש המבנה בעיקר לטיפול בבעיות במערכת העיכול והוא תיפקד כמוסד רפואי של ממש. עם הזמן החלה הפעילות במקום להיות יותר ויותר אינטנסיבית. לאחר מלחמת העצמאות, עם סיום הקרבות באזור, שוקם בית ההבראה וחזר לפעילות מלאה. בשנות השמונים הוסב המתחם למרכז כנסים והשתלמויות.
ב-2019 החל תהליך שימור ושיקום של הבניינים ההיסטוריים, ובהם בית ההארחה ארזה. במתחם המחודש נבנים ארכיון, ספרייה ומרכז תרבות.
בחורשה המצויה ליד בית ההבראה ניטע עץ, בסוף 1898, בעת ביקורו בארץ ישראל של הרצל ודוד וולפסון. הם נטעו במקום עצים: (הרצל נטע ארז ווולפסון נטע דקל). באופן מקרי העץ, שניטע כסמל לחידוש ההתיישבות היהודית באזורי יהודה, ניטע בדיוק בתאריך שבו פורסמה לימים הצהרת בלפור (2 בנובמבר). הארז שניטע באותו יום קיבל בספרות ובעיתונות את השם "ארז הרצל". המקום הפך לסוג של אנדרטה וחקלאי מוצא שמרו עליו. במהלך מלחמת העולם הראשונה נפגע האתר והעצים נפגעו, ככל הנראה כתוצאה מפגיעה של ערביי הכפרים השכנים. כיום ישנה באזור שקרוב למבנה ההיסטורי של ארזה שדרה עם עצים שנטעו נשיאי מדינת ישראל השונים, הנקראת שדרת הנשיאים.
