|primary |name= }} גִּבְעַת אֵלָה הוא יישוב קהילתי חילוני בדרום הגליל התחתון, חמישה קילומטרים צפונית למגדל העמק וחמישה קילומטרים מערבית לנצרת, בתחום השיפוט של המועצה האזורית עמק יזרעאל. הוא הוקם בשנת 1988 ביוזמת גרעין מתיישבים מאזור חיפה ומיישובי עמק יזרעאל ובסיוע המועצה האזורית.

הממשלה החליטה על הקמת היישוב בדצמבר 1983, כיישוב קהילתי ביוזמה פרטית. טקס הנחת אבן פינה בהשתתפות שר השיכון, דוד לוי, התקיים בספטמבר 1986.

במסגרת שלב א' התיישבו ביישוב כ־190 משפחות שבנו את בתיהן בבניה מרוכזת של מספר דגמי בתים בעלי סגנון אחיד. במהלך העשור הראשון נבנו עוד כ־170 בתים נוספים תוך שמירה על הצביון הכפרי, וכן מבני הציבור: אולם ספורט מקורה (הכולל מגרש כדורסל, חדר כושר וחדר בלט), בריכת שחיה, מגרשי טניס וגני שעשועים. בשנת 2009 החל שיווק המגרשים של שכונת הרחבה. כיום מונה היישוב 480 משפחות הכוללות 1,950 תושבים.

היישוב ממוקם על שתי גבעות, בין הכפר הבדואי בית זרזיר והכפר הערבי עילוט.

היישוב גבעת אלה, שבאופן זמני נקרא עילוט ב', נקרא על שם עצי האלה.

במקום בית ספר יסודי אזורי לילדי גבעת אלה, ציפורי, אלון הגליל וחנתון, ולאחר סיום כיתה ו' עוברים מרבית הילדים ללמוד בבית הספר בנהלל.

הטייס רון ארד היה בגרעין המייסד של היישוב, אך לא התגורר בו עקב נפילתו בשבי.
