|primary |name= }} גִּבְעַת יוֹאָב הוא מושב של תנועת המושבים הממוקם בדרום רמת הגולן.
מקור השם עריכה
היישוב הוקם בשנת 1968 ונקרא על שם סגן אלוף יואב שחם (ברנשטיין) שנפל בפעולת סמוע בדרום הר חברון בשנת 1966[4].
גאוגרפיה עריכה
היישוב נמצא במדרון היורד מרמת הגולן לכנרת בגובה של 320 מטרים מעל פני הים (530 מטרים מעל פני הכנרת). היישוב נמצא כ-4 קילומטרים מזרחית לחוף הכנרת.
כלכלה עריכה
כלכלת היישוב מתבססת על גידולי שלחין: הדרים, זיתים, מטעים, בננות וענבים לייצור יין ומאכל. כמו כן ביישוב כ-22 רפתות משפחתיות לייצור חלב ובשר בקר, ולולי פיטום תרנגולי הודו. ליישוב שטחי מרעה שגודלם כ-24,000 דונמים.
בנוסף, היישוב מתפרנס גם מתיירות חקלאית: כפר אוהלים מונגולי, צימרים, מרכז מבקרים לשמן זית ומרכז מבקרים ליצור שופרות.[5]
קהילה עריכה
הקהילה במושב גבעת יואב היא קהילה חילונית המקיימת חיים שיתופיים ומשפחתיים. תושבי המקום נהנים מאירועי תרבות המאורגנים על ידי הקהילה בגבעת יואב והמועצה האזורית ובכללם פסטיבלים, ירידים, הרצאות וימי תרבות. המושב שוכן בסמוך ליישוב בני יהודה, בו נמצאים המרכזים התרבותיים והמסחריים של אזור דרום הגולן.
