מיטל הוא יישוב קהילתי בהקמה הנמצא על הר הגלבוע, בסמוך לכפר השיקומי מלכישוע ולקיבוץ מירב. התכנון הוא שמיטל יהיה יישוב מעורב שיכיל משפחות של חילונים ודתיים.

תוכנית היישוב מאפשרת בנייה של כ-270 יחידות דיור. ההערכה היא שעד 2024 ייכנסו המשפחות הראשונות לבתי הקבע ביישוב. היישוב החדש יאכלס בתחילה כ-30 משפחות ובעתיד צפוי להתרחב ולהכיל כ-270 משפחות.

הכניסה ליישוב מיטל, מרץ 2023

כבר מ-2006 היו מספר תוכניות להקמת יישוב חדש בהר הגלבוע, אך ההצעות נדחו והוסרו בעקבות ההתנגדות והביקורת של ארגוני איכות הסביבה וחשש לפגיעה בסביבה של האזור עליו היה אמור לקום היישוב מיטל. עם זאת, התוכנית האחרונה להקמת היישוב יצאה לפועל, לאחר יוזמה משותפת של שר החקלאות ופיתוח הכפר, אורי אריאל, מועצה אזורית עמק המעיינות וקרן קיימת לישראל. היישוב מוקם בסיוע משרד הבינוי והשיכון, החטיבה להתיישבות, תנועת מיתרים ורשת קהילות מעורבות בישראל.

ביולי 2020 עלו ארבע משפחות למתחם קראווילות שהוקם בעבורן סמוך לאתר שבו מתוכנן בית הקבע שלהן.
